6/5 if that was possible! Best value Sunday lunch in the York and surrounding area. Also great traditional pub with great hosts and really friendly staff. Just great food (a ****** tasty fruit crumble and custard) and an excellent supply of draught ales. Glen and Lesley and staff just keep doing what your doing….in other words don’t change a thing!! Came here on new years eve for a drink after a long walk. Very cosy little pub decorated lovely . Very christmasy. Lovely friendly staff . Will definitely remember this place on future visits to the area .
Really friendly, traditional pub. We arrived just as the kitchen was closing yet the team went out of their way to provide us with a meal. Authentic and welcoming local vibe.
My wife and I called in for lunch. We didn't have room for Sunday lunch, we both had the homemade Leek and Potato soup. We both commented afterwards tasty and filling it was. It was a pity we were driving, I would have happily sampled the real ale on offer. A fantastic local boozer. We're only sorry we don't live in the village!
Very warm, welcoming atmosphere. Clean and tidy and lots of hand sanitizer available. Staff very polite and pleasant. Food was absolutely amazing! Highly recommend a visit here!
