The Royal Oak is the heart of the village of Copmanthorpe, just off the A64 between York and Leeds. It is a quintessential Yorkshire village pub, proudly owned by Darren and Vicky who guarantee that you will always receive a warm welcome.

Whether you want to sample our home-cooked steak & ale pie (with proper chips!), washed down with a pint of our finest cask ale or simply enjoy a bottle of wine from our carefully selected wine list, The Royal Oak is just the ticket.

Our regulars can vouch for our wide range of hand-pulled cask ales; because they are loved so much, we change the guest ales every few days. Although, we have some favourites permanently on the go to avoid disappointment! One thing's for sure; you'll always enjoy a really good pint.

We support local breweries including York Brewery and Ainsty Ales, and mainstay beers include Timothy Taylor's Landlord and various offerings from Theakston's. We also offer a great range of lagers, including Birra Moretti, San Miguel and Fosters.

Popular (and frequent) guest ales include Wychwood's Hobgoblin, Theakston's Old Peculiar and Black Sheep Brewery's Holy Grail.

We also offer a generous selection of carefully selected wines, ranging from a dry white to a sweet rose, to a full-bodied red. Whatever your preference, we're sure to have a wine to suit you perfectly.

Of course, we also offer a great variety of soft and hot drinks.
