Had a 4 night stay in December. Very big and comfortable room. Sean and his Dad are doing a fantastic job since taking over the King's Arms.
Comfy and quiet overnight stay and three course meal (incredible sticky toffee pudding) in the middle of Reeth. £23 for two courses, £27 for three which was decent. Catered well for veggies. New chef owner who's working his socks off - really hope he succeeds!
Spent two nights here over the bank holiday weekend and we absolutely loved it! Great location, everything is kept clean, people were lovely and the food was great! The service we got for our dog was great, he was well and truly spoilt🥰
Managed to get a vacancy when I called in to Reeth whilst I was hiking the C2C. Good price. Rooms are traditionally decorated but that's not a bad thing. Very clean. Beds are very comfy. Staff are super friendly and helpful. The bacon cheeseburger is fantastic. Breakfast is top notch. The only gripe id say about the room I was in was the lack of sockets, which didn't impact me particularly but it's like to know where ladies would use the hairdryer? Overall excellent stay 👍
The rooms are okay for a hiker staying just one night. The food at the restaurant was excellent. Little funny system on how to order and pay. When I asked the nice male waiter if I also had to go to the bar and order the dessert, a female waitress shouted in the background. But what really ruined the good food was when the female waitress just came and took away what I had just eaten and said "Have a nice evening" Meant I was going to leave in a bad mood. That's probably the big no no as a waiter. That experience drive it all to bottom.
