Sister accommodation associated with The Lifeboat Inn. Beautifully appointed rooms with access to a very comfortable lounge with snacks tea/coffee and soft drinks. TV with Internet access which allowed us to watch the PDC darts. Extra bonus. Will be back.
Wonderful hotel. There are no facilities like a bar or anything at the hotel but there are loads of teas, coffees, milk, biscuits, crisps etc in what used to be the old bar area, so you would not go hungry. Breakfast is served at the Lifeboat and was amazing. There was a lovely restaurant round the corner called the Orange Tree, where the good was lovely too. Beds were comfy and the bathroom was very clean. We had the smallest room but the other rooms were much larger. We didn't mind as we took the last available room.
Lovely overnight stay we had two rooms, included was a breakfast at the Lifeboat Inn aprox 5 min stroll, looking forward to a longer stay next time
The room was spotless and bed was very comfy. There was a decent sized bath with very hot water. There's no staff onsite, but when we needed more showergel etc someone arrived within 5 minutes of requesting it. Only negative is that there's no fridge in the rooms. There is one downstairs with free milk and water in it but would be nice to have a fridge in the room to cool my own drinks.
We did not stay at the Inn overnight, but rather stopped by for an impromptu roast sirloin beef Sunday lunch. Very nice service from the bar staff and waitress as well as pleasant interior. The meat was very tender and cooked to perfection. The dish could have done with some more gravy and with no horseradish or mustard it was a little too dry going but the cauliflower cheese did help. Other than that it was very nice indeed. At £22 a dish each plus drinks, it wasn't cheap but was well worth it and the food was delivered very promptly. Thanks
