We are a traditional Scottish pub, on Edinburgh's Royal Mile, offering a fantastic selection of Scottish whiskies and cask beers. Food is available all day, and with both traditional Scottish delicacies and contemporary favourites on offer, our menu caters for all tastes including vegetarian.
Whether you are a visitor to our city or a local, you can be assured of a warm welcome from our friendly and knowledgeable staff. We are located close to many of Edinburgh's major attractions, and provide a convenient, comfortable stopping point for either a swift beer or a leisurely lunch.
If music is to your liking, we have live sessions four times a week. Come along, enjoy a drink in convivial company and listen to the local talent. You will be most welcome to join in, or to take the stage to entertain us. We also hold quiz nights on Monday evenings. Bring your team along - but expect some fierce competition!.

Typical pub with fantastic staff and delicious food. Sadly, we stumbled upon it on our last night in Edinburgh or we would've definitely been again. Had Scotch Egg with Haggis together with a side order of chips and crispy fried onions which was way more than I should've ordered but all went down very well. Lovely friendly place and a must while visiting the city.
Lovely classic Scottish pub with a positive and friendly atmosphere. Service very kind, nice and rapid. Food was great and very quick done even in busy Friday afternoon. We had Scottish Lentil soup - very delicious and fish and chips - outstanding with homemade Tatar sauce. The price of the beer and food was fair for Edinburgh and area as it is on Royal Mail. Vegetarian and Vegan option available and dogs friendly pub. I would definitely recommend to pop in.
Had late dinner here. It has the scottish delicacies like cullen skink and the scottish dessert.. also ordered some halloumi and fish chips ... all good just the service could have been better (dessert not available but we learned it at a later time)
We’ve tried the Scottish food and they were good. However the waitress with a red scarf was the most impolite one I have ever met. She was passive to help with an unwilling attitude. I won’t recommend to all tourists cause the experience will ruin your journey even the food is not bad.
We went pub for our breakfast. This pub is located at the royal mile. We ordered vegetarian breakfast. The breakfast was good and we enjoyed the food. I liked the vegetable sausages. These were not Quorn sausages but were made of potatoes and other vegetables. Tattie scone was also good. Just the portion could have been larger. The tea was weak, could have been stronger. The service was quick and nice.
