Dating back to 1852, The New Inn (which was formerly known as The Bracken Fox) was originally owned by a twenty six year old farmer and innkeeper named William Wrigglesworth. The present building is a 1930's roadhouse which was built adjacent to the site of the older New Inn, this more modern building had its own brew house which served the pub until a few years ago.

What a lovely find and a great welcome from the staff and the lovely fires π₯ Ale was lovely, food was delicious and I'm looking forward to returning π
Had an amazing meal at the Inn in Scarcroft. We was shown to our table by the open fire by Jake. Lovely young lad with blonde curly hair. Nothing was too much trouble. Very knowledgeable on the menu and with my allergies he was brilliant. The food was amazing. Jake came back to the table several times to check all was well and kept the drinks flowing. An absolute credit to the team. From a customer service background myself I can tell he will excel within the company
We were served and entertained by Nicholas and several other staff on New year's eve, and they made our new year's eve night extra special making us feel very welcome! Given that the night was so busy we were pleasantly surprised that our food came pretty quickly. The three course meals we choose was very tasty, and we were all very happy with the taste and presentation. Our only complaint was that our food could have been hotter, but other than that, we were very happy. Nicholas stood out in particular. He was very personable and friendly. We will definitely visit again.
There were two menus (Festive and standard) which was a bit confusing. Food was ok - but could have been hotter ! And the Black Sheep beer was off. Service was great and Nick loomed after us really well. Lovely pub with a great atmosphere and great staff. They were busy but stayed calm, pleasant and attentive throughout.
Fantastic food and service! We had a lovely meal. We were served in a timely manner and asked if we wanted anything else/more drinks. Would definitely recommend and we will be back!
