About us

In the village of Great Linford, just outside Milton Keynes you will find The Nags Head. This 15th Century "olde worlde" thatched cottage has original beams, low ceilings and two real fireplaces.

The Nags Head in Great Linford is very popular at lunchtime and in the evenings especially for its English traditional kitchen, great atmosphere, excellent service and friendly staff. Food from the varied main menu can be eaten in the lounge, bar area or in the beer garden. Don't miss our great offers!

The Nags Head location, next to park with Grand Union Canal, lends itself to visitors to discover the beautiful surrounding dominated by Great Linford Manor and St. Andrew's Church together with nearby Stone circle and old railway bridge.

Weekends are very popular at The Nags Head. Our clientele includes mixture of business people, workers and students. A high percentage of local regulars, together with visitors from the nearby canal and other members of local community creates lively, friendly and comfortable atmosphere which makes you feel as you have been a part of The Nags Head crowd for many years.

It is well worth popping in next time you are in the area.

We just had a drink. Didn't think much of the menu. The atmosphere was zero. The tenant/manager came and sat behind the bar with earbuds in and did not respond to conversation.

A great traditional pub in a pretty village, next to a decent manor house and grounds, close to the Grand Union canal. Good ales and decent food. A far better experience than its neighbour, the Black Horse.

We went for lunch to this quaint thatched pub. Everyone had something different and all were happy with the portion size, quality and price and of course, taste. The barlady was friendly and helpful. Definitely a thumbs up.

Very nice pub. Historical building at least 500 years old. Excellent dated interior. Must visit Pub if you near here. Great bar tender.
