I had a family gathering here yesterday 4/1/24 and the booked the snug area in the restaurant. There was a few of us yet our food arrived in a timely manner and the service staff were very friendly. I had the pie and mash with gravy. It was perfect and a sticky toffee pudding with custard, again perfect. It was all reasonably priced. There is a sign outside which states that dog walkers and muddy boots are welcome which is a nice touch as the area has a lot of green areas which are useful for dog walkers. I enjoyed the experience. The atmosphere was friendly and there are some nice views outside of the canal and some barges which I’ve included here. Ideal for a family meal

My favourite pub love walking down the canal then stopping for something to eat and a drink the Chicken strips are the best so tasty

Went here for a meal, staff service was poor, food was poor (never had such a dry cremated burger) had to wait 10 minutes just for the staff to appear to serve drinks. Been here before and everything was great but this time poor poor poor. The wife had hunters chicken which looked like it had been overdone in the microwave with burnt bits around the bowl and very dry chicken.

Had a lovely meal today. The lamb shank I had was falling off the bone and all the veg was cooked well, not overdone at all. My husband had the gammon and he enjoyed that too. It's not cheap, especially the drinks but I can't fault the food we had.

Brilliant find! Stopped for Sunday lunch, sat in the sun, and admired the view. Excellent service, great food.... well presented and reasonably priced. We'll be visiting again soon 👍🏻🙂
