What an absolute Gem. Needed somewhere to stop on route for NYE get together. Quick message on FB and confirmed our stop, offered EHU for a few quid but didn’t need it, nice touch though. Glad we stopped on a Friday as the Pizzas were amazing and great value. 3 Ales on, 3 Ciders, 2 Lagers so good selection of drinks. Excellent start to a weekend in nearby Pontesbury by spending a few hours at this fine watering hole on the border with Wales on a Friday afternoon. You won't believe a pub in the middle of nowhere would be so popular!!
A beautiful country pub literally on the Welsh Shropshire border ( the carpark is in Wales and the pub in England) They keep and serve some Bostin real ales in here and the interior has old world charm , there is an old Well in the passageway which is worth a visit just for a gander at that . Highly recommended this fine Hostilierly
Went for a few drinks whilst on holiday.. can honestly say the nicest pizza we’ve ever had! Staff were pleasant and friendly! Definitely worth a visit!
Excellent pub in a very quiet rural location. Friendly approachable staff and locals with a surprising amount of beers/cider on tap for the size of the place. Well worthy of a visit, especially on a Wednesday (pizza night 🍕)! Dogs are also welcome. It's also worth noting that they have a Facebook page, so if you have WiFi but no phone signal you can still book a table.
