Definitely the best haggis! They make it taste and look delicious! Super nice friendly Polish staff 😊 Recommend if you wanna try good Haggis 😊
Saw this restaurant online and noted that sometimes they took bookings. Contacted them through online chat and asked for a table reservation as we'd spent much of the day travelling and received an acknowledgement. Unfortunately, got to the venue and were told they didn't take reservations. Lucky, we had arrived early so were seated. We had the cheese board to start, one vegetarian and one regular haggis. Food was presented beautifully and was delicious. Would highly recommend you arrive early should you wish to eat here as there are a limited number of tables.
I've seldom felt compelled to pen a review with regard to food, reserving my words for experiences that truly merit distinction. It is with this rare honor that I speak of this restaurant, a culinary haven that not only claims to serve the best haggis in town but also fulfills this promise with remarkable finesse. The symphony of flavours began with two exceptional dishes: the Diana Haggis and a chicken haggis. The Diana Haggis was an enchanting symphony of flavors, bathed in a sauce that elevated the traditional haggis to an art form. On the other side, the chicken dish, adorned with mashed potatoes laced with hints of pineapple, was a testament to the chef's prowess in flavor juxtaposition—spicy undertones of black pepper in perfect counterbalance with sweet whispers. Moreover, a pint of Guinness as an accompaniment enhanced the meal's robust flavors with its creamy, rich depths. I would also thank Lucas (Luke), whose guidance and patient demeanor, even as the night drew to a close, personified the warm hospitality. Additionally, the decor—a blend of elegance and comfort—sets the stage for an exquisite dining experience. It is a rarity for a meal to beckon a return to a city, yet here I am, enticed to revisit Edinburgh for another savory encounter with this haggis that has captured my palate and heart. Were it within my power, I would bestow upon this experience a galaxy of stars. It's not every day that a meal transcends the boundaries of taste to become a treasured memory. I am usually not one to review food, but this restaurant has earned every word of praise with their impeccable offerings. They don’t just serve food but memories, etched in flavor and kindness. Kudos!!
Lovely place, lovely staff. The food was amazing, best haggis (vegetarian in this case but meat one available), neeps and tatties! Great selection of whisky, Bruichladdich Islay malt included!
Give haggis a chance - I’m glad we did! We enjoyed lunch consisting of the Princess Diana Haggis, Beef and Haggis Burgers, and the Deconstructed Steak and Ale Pie. The star of the show really was the haggis. It’s an interesting flavor and texture that the cream sauce complimented very nicely. The other meals were good, but not anything incredible. Would absolutely recommend overall!
