Our second child, The Marquis in Covent Garden is ideally situated within a few minutes walk of some of London’s greatest landmarks, Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square and Soho to name just a few.
Our charismatic Manager, Tommy has made The Marquis a record lovers hot spot. With his vast collection of vinys, regular live music, promotions and events The Marquis is a must visit for anyone in the area looking for a fun bar with a great atmosphere. Recent cameo film appearances in ‘Mary Poppins The Return’ and ‘Last Christmas’, The Marquis has seen its fair share of stars.
If you’re hungry, the upstairs bar and dining area is a hidden gem for a spot of home cooked food. Also available for private functions for groups up to 50.
We are proud of our freshly prepared, British pub menu. Where possible we use locally sourced suppliers and ingredients and whilst we make sure not to compromise on quality – our menu is excellent value for money (It’s all under £10!)
Our wine menu been carefully selected to offer a variety of both old and new world wines. We recommend you try the Chapel Down Brut NV. A great example of a classic English sparkling wine, grown and produced in Kent.

If you're into Rock, this pub is for you! It's a cool, no-nonsense pub with vinyl music and great beer! They also host live performances. Recently, Green Day dropped by, and the rest is history 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
This is my go to, favourite pub in central London. It’s always a great atmosphere and is fabulous for music. They have a record deck and loads of vinyl behind the bar. Great beer, friendly service and they will have the odd live band in there and recently Green day did a surprise gig in there. Upstairs you can get good traditional food. It’s not Michelin star but it’s very reasonably priced. A big shout out to Tabitha who served us in there who was great. In short you won’t go wrong paying this great pub a visit… even Charles Dickens used to drink here. 😎👍
Needed something quick and nearby the National Museum but wanted a good atmosphere and not too touristy. This place was perfect for just that. Wouldn’t say the food is what you go here for but I didn’t try a lot so can’t really say. Preferred being downstairs (upstairs is where you can dine) w a cold beer and looking at all the pictures/decor while listening to good tunes on vinyls!
I'm vegan, with a couple of food allergies, which makes travel, at times, a bit challenging, so finding most restaurants in the UK featuring vegan options is such a nice surprise. The Marquis is one such place. A delightful find after a quick search for "vegan restaurants near me" as I was in the neighborhood. Such a cute vibe, fabulous servers and fresh, really delicious food. If you're out and about and looking for a good place to take a break from your adventures, be sure to stop at The Marquis.
Found this place whilst milling around London and decided to drop in for a few drinks. What a great find!! Vinyl records which they take requests on, funky decor very British rock/mod feel to it with great energetic and enthusiastic staff who add to the great atmosphere there. Drinks prices were on par with our local which is not in London and food looked delicious that we saw floating around. Definitely visit here again!!
