About us

You don’t have to be mad to hang out at The Manor, but it helps! There is an overwhelming sense of fun here and it’s very popular with sports teams, who use it as their club house.

To say there is always something going on at The Manor is a bit of an understatement – the fun never stops. The building, which dates back to 1892, still retains much of the original panelling, giving The Manor good old-fashioned character and charm.

There is also a fantastic sports mural on display by a very talented local artist. A great pub with a penchant for having fun!.

Local pub for local people. Lot's of us know each other but if you sit out the back in the sun you are one of our mates instantly. You can get food at the Chinese takeaway 3 minutes across the street and eat outside in the sun.

In a quaint little corner, where dreams gently flow, Stands a pub named The Manor, where otters love to go. Amidst whispers of laughter, they find solace and cheer, Sipping Stellas, watching footie, the atmosphere sincere. Within those ancient walls, a haven for furry friends, The otters find respite, where the day gently mends. Their paws clasp the glasses, filled with golden delight, Sharing tales and banter, under the soft pub's light. As the jukebox croons melodies of bygone days, The otters sway to rhythms, lost in a joyful haze. Their fur glistens with mirth, a gleaming river's flow, The Manor pub unites them, wherever they may go. In their dapper waistcoats, they perch upon the stools, Observing the matches, like zealous football fools. Cheers erupt from the crowd, as goals dance in the air, Otters leap in elation, their hearts beyond compare. From fierce rivalries to legends of the game, Otters debate fervently, their passions aflame. They discuss each tactic, each striker's skill and flair, A tapestry of knowledge, they eagerly share. With pints raised high, they toast to victories and loss, An otter camaraderie, never burdened by the cost. Through laughter and sorrow, they forge bonds anew, As the Manor pub welcomes all, both otters and you. And as the night surrenders to a dawn's golden hue, The otters bid farewell, with memories that grew. In this haven of spirit, where friendships are sealed, The Manor pub echoes with stories, forever revealed. So, if you chance upon this pub, where otters rest and play, Step inside with a smile, and let time slip away. Raise a glass to unity, to otters and their cheer, In The Manor's warm embrace, may joy always be near.

Excellent true community local within a housing estate. Pleased to report it has reopened tonight 1st Oct. '20 after covid 1st wave. A huge pub,in keeping with the name in it's own wooded grounds. Saloon bar, large extensive lounge areas and upstairs room for the darts. Friendly and informal. Nearest pub to the famous Isle of Man T T grandstand. Stocks Okell's bitter.

A good local pub that suffers from being off the beaten track a bit, we should go there more. The beer is always good and I can't remember having a bad time in there, they do make the effort and put on entertainment, definitely recommended.
