Lowther Arms Trivia : At different times over the years, the front door has occupied all but one of the outside walls. We took over the Lowther Arms in 1995 when it was just a small country pub. Between 1997 and 1999 the building was extended and refurbished but still retains its warm rustic atmosphere.
In 2009 we introduced en-suite bed and breakfast accommodation to our guests.
Best Steaks in the UK without any shadow of doubt. Great Menu, loads of specials and all top quality. Had a thoroughly enjoyable steak dinner tonight- the steaks are locally sourced and very tender, not least due to the skill of the Chef who clearly knows how best to source and cook them to perfection. 100% recommended!

We’ve been coming here for years. The food is always fantastic and the choice is excellent, my Grandma always comments on the plants outside. Great service, just a generally lovely place. Would highly recommend.

The choice of food from an extensive menu, complimented by the specials board, will see you well pleased you made this choice of venue. The service is first class and there's real ale on tap. What's not to like?
