Busy as hell but still great service! Went for a Sunday roast and we weren't disappointed. The food was awesome from portion size to quality and no long wait either! We'll definitely be back.
Stayed at the Lower Buck for a couple of nights. It's a great location for walking in the area, Waddington's a picture postcard village and the Lower Buck is in the village. The room was lovely, comfortable bed, clean and well kept. The pub is ace. Well-kept beers, a good wine list, very dog friendly and great food. We had booked to eat there one night but ended up eating there both nights. Really can't fault our stay.
This is a lovely warm traditional country pub, offering a friendly atmosphere and awarmwelcome. This is a dog friendly venue and was just what was wanted on a cold, frosty day. The fire was burning, and lunch was being served. The cheese and onion pie was superb. Take a trip to Waddington, go for a good walk, build up an appetite, and enjoy. Parking isn't easy, but do not let that put you off.
Thank goodness this place is open again. It compliments and makes up the fantastic trio of restaurants in the village. The place is really clean and welcoming. The food is delicious and the staff are very friendly. They have FOUR fires. Yay.
Stayed with my wife and dog in early November and had a brilliant stay. Ed, the new owner, really looked after us and you can tell he's investing a lot into the pub and accommodation. Would recommend and we'll be sure to stay again!
