Very good pub grub. Nice hand cut chips. 2nd visit and the fish and chips, steak and kidney pie, scampi and fajitas were all delicious and perfectly cooked. The only negative was that the plates aren't very hot unless you have a sizzler but would still rate it excellent. Good value too.. Convenient location for meeting up en route as close to M1.
Absolutely delicious food great value and friendly welcome. Woll definitely return here, and leave room for pudding! Portions are HUGE!
Popped in from the woohead pass for a bit of lunch.A sandwich is a work of art here! The welcome and the service here is exemplary, it simply could not be any better or more friendly. Clean and bright, excellent tasty food too.If I ever pass this way again I will certainly pop in for a full meal.
We had the chicken hanging kebab and one of the specials - the sesame chicken with coconut rice. The food was absolutely beautiful. The chicken kebab was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The coconut rice that came with the sesame chicken was so sweet and tasty. Lovely atmosphere, nice and quiet, just how we like it. Plenty of tables to sit at and lovely decor. The only negative was the amount of time we were waiting considering that there were only a couple of other people in the restaurant.
Oh dear, we're do I begin. The waitress looked like she just didn't want to be there, too shy to do that job. We ordered nachos for two and we got nachos for one. They were burnt on the top. I ordered a ploughman's. It arrived with stale bread, stale cheese and a dry pork pie. My other half had a poorly presented prawn cocktail. His steak and kidney pudding wasn't at all nice with hardly any filling. The only decent dish was my daughters scampi and chips. We would have complained but it was a hot day and we felt from the staff that it would have fell on deaf ears.
