Welcome to the Lord Nelson Hotel in Bridport, Dorset. We are actually a 168 year old Pub that has three spacious letting rooms, lots of character, a warm atmosphere, an open fire and friendly staff waiting to greet you.
We have locally brewed beer and the brewing family have been in the town for 224 years, so they know how to produce a good pint.
We are probably, the best pie pub in the town with an unusual range of hot, sumptuous and award-winning pies suitable for all tastes plus much more. At the end of the day you can go to bed in our rooms that are spacious, warm and tastefully decorated.
We are dog, cycle and walker friendly. We have undercover storage, drying facilities and a large public car park next door (which also has an electric hook up facility). We have a courtyard garden that is a suntrap with six large picnic tables and parasols, ideal for taking refreshment and relaxing in the sun.

My wife and I decided on a last minute staycation in Bridport and decided to stay at The Lord Nelson and we were jolly glad we did. The owner Nicole and her staff were not only brilliant but an absolute hoot! We will be back next summer.

Fantastic find. We paid a budget price and received a 5 star 🌟 service! Room - very clean, spacious, light and bright. A good quality breakfast. A warm welcome, clean room with ensuite. Great real ales, a Palmers pub, the local brewery. Excellent breakfast in the sunny garden courtyard at the rear. Inexpensive council car park next door. Great location for the high street and short, easy drive to the coast. Highly recommended.
Room was very clean and spacious. Sue was a lovely host and the bar staff were great. They all made you feel very welcome. The hotel has a carpark which is so cheap. Breakfast was perfect couldn't fault it. Great price for a perfect stay. Would definitely book to stay there again. Thank u sue for being so great. See you again soon.
