Combining the best in British pub hospitality with individuality, character and quirky charm, The Crown & Two Chairmen is a handsomely restored old school gem at the centre of London’s buzzing Soho district.
Standing proud on the corner of Dean Street and Bateman Street, The Crown & Two Chairmen is the perfect setting for a laid-back yet distinctly memorable drinking and dining experience. Whether you’re looking to book a table for a lazy lunch, family dinner, social eats, treats with friends, private room hire, or you’re wanting the perfect space for large group bookings, The Crown & Two Chairmen offers a range of tempting and flavoursome food, with an explorative drinks menu and a genuine, welcoming atmosphere to suit all occasions.
With traditional wood-panelled interior, low-lit snug corners, period features, and an upstairs bar area for private hire, The Crown & Two Chairmen attracts a diverse clientele, reflecting the offbeat, alternative vibe of the Soho area whilst holding the authenticity of a true British local at its heart.
A nice traditional pub which is spacious and has good tables for large groups. Decent enough range of drinks served by friendly staff behind the the bar. The lunch time menu has a reasonably priced choice of sandwiches including a drink, which was served quickly and presented well enough, but the fish goujon option was a little disappointing with hardly any fish actually inside. A good atmosphere though and a nice option for a relaxing drink in the area.
My favourite pubs in central London. The staff is welcoming and friendly. They provide great by helping the customers to choose the right beer/cocktail! The staff is always for a chat whether it is at the counter or when bringing food at the table. Great selection of beers and delicious English food, you should try their Sunday roast!
Proper #sundayroast in #london @thecrownandtwo that included Roasted Beef, Chicken & Pork Belly with all the trimmings aka Gravy, Roasted Veggies(Paranips, Carrots, Cabbage & Peas), Yorkshire Pudding, Stuffing, Pigs in a Blanket and Cheesy Cauliflower Mash. I'm full again just typing all that. Thank goodness they were a perfect portion size for sharing. Alas, we had to skip the sticky toffee pudding due to no room 😉 #Yum #GratefulandBlessed #aperfectday #eatlocal #bridgie_breland_foodie
A great spot for Sunday roast in central London! The Sunday Roast is delicious and reasonably priced for the area. The service was excellent and quick. They are very conscious about allergens, and there is a vegan option, although I didn't try it, my friends said it was amazing. I am looking forward to going again. The food here was hands down the best we had all week. The gravy was to die for but the Pie and sides didn't disappoint. Fish and chips were nothing short of great. What was disappointing was the way we were served. We saw staff serving and welcoming other customers but never came to our table. Had to stand up to get us served. Maybe that what is expected at this place but it certainly didn't feel like it.
