Pie and chips, amazing. Real cask ales fresh and cold. Wouldn't recommend the steak, however. Pub vibe, spot on.
A quaint little, traditional style London pub on Sloane Street, between Sloane Square and Knightsbridge. We only called in for drinks, so I can't comment on the food. But it was busy & the service was OK. We got a seat in the window, a great spot to watch the shoppers go by.
I am do glad that they had a vegetarian burger! I love the London pub life, but sometimes it can be a challenge. The atmosphere is everything that you are looking for from the vintage furniture to the great service. The beer was super cold, which is a plus. Shout out to Johnny who took such good care of my mom and me.
Small looking from outside pub inside become quite spacious with plenty of sitting space. Decent prices were quite a shocker in pub placed on the street surrounded by "poshness" and lots of stores with overpriced items. Clean, helpful, and smiley staff.
Came here on a Wednesday afternoon at about 4pm. The restaurant was not busy but not empty either, it was relatively flowing. Right off the bat the bartender was very attentive and helpful and friendly. He poured our drinks and took our food order, and gave me a sample of a beer I wanted to try. I ordered an IPA and a cider for us to share, both were great. I also got a double Jameson on the rocks. He made my grandma a new espresso when hers was not hot enough. We only ordered chips and onion rings which were great! My cider spilt and the bartender poured me a new one and gave me paper towels to clean it up at my request since he didn't see the spill. The ambiance was good and rustic, lots of history in this building. Overall good experience and will come back.
