Deep in the heart of Shoreditch lies The Barley Mow, an atmospheric and traditional pub with a heart of gold. Not actual gold, or we’d be in the Bahamas living it up.
We serve up juicy handmade English pies, sausage rolls and scotch eggs, straight from our hot food counter to your table as a perfect accompaniment to a beer and a hearty way to perk yourself up on a long night out. Vegan and veggie options also available.
We also occasionally team up with our neighbouring sister pub The Reliance to cater for big bookings upstairs. They serve up a mean Lebanese mezze platter and classic homemade pub grub.
Our tiny upstairs function room has enough space to hold 25 people. It's kitted out with a projector and a screen if needed, as well as our secret gem, a jukebox full of great CDs. The room is perfect for either a quiet business meeting or a cozy private party, tucked away from the rest of the world and overlooking the mad streets of Shoreditch.
We don’t mean to brag but we recently received full marks across the board from Cask Marque, the governing body of cask conditioned ale. So, we can safely say that we know a thing or two about great beer. That’s not all, we also serve a brilliant range of wines and we have a real soft spot for gin, so make sure to check out our London House Gins selection.

Great bar! Love the vibe, the music and a really decent selection on tap.
Good little boozer for a pint and chat. Easy access to the bar and great selection on ales. Had a few cocktails too !
This is a small, fun, traditional pub in the heart of Shoreditch.
Small independent pub with great feeling, Hendrix at two in the afternoon on a Monday! How much fun is that? Love it. This pub offers a varied line up of beer, both on cask and keg but just a little different. Well worth a visit, you will enjoy.
Pretty, wood clad pub, reminiscent of a small tradition Dutch bar. The beer is kept well and snacks of pasties and scotch eggs are available.

Callooh Callay opened in November 2008. At the time, cocktail bars in Shoreditch were few and far between. We wanted to open a venue which delivered high quality drinks and service, but without any of the pretension that came along with those things in 20
