Nicholson’s Pubs are known for their individual style, exciting stories, and charming personalities — and The Sir Christopher Hatton is certainly no exception.
Our pub aptly takes its name from the historic figure of Sir Christopher Hatton, Lord Chancellor of England and rumoured to be a lover of Elizabeth I. The Queen granted Christopher the grounds of Ely Palace on which was built Hatton House.
In the 1600s Hatton Garden was built here, and as a result of 80% of the world's diamonds passing through the gardens in 1987, it went on to become the centre of London's jewellery trade.

Good all round pub with large selection of beers. Food was good and friendly staff.
Delicious aroma of spiced and mulled cider pervading the bar on a cold wet Tuesday lunchtime. Slightly disconcerted by the poltergeist moving my pint glass (see video). Recommended
The staff were just so helpful, warm and friendly - special shout out to Brian, who looked after us. The food was really excellent - and everyone was complimentary about what they ordered - from the Nut Roast, right through to the Turkey dinner. Starters were great and the desserts were great. I thought the prices were very reasonable too. Overall really excellent!
Booked a private function downstairs. The private room is brilliant, has it's own bar and is large. The food was so delicious (festive menu). We will definitely be back. Special thanks to Brian who is a real credit to this place; so friendly and chatty and actually all the staff are lovely.
Classic British pub done right. The food on offer has a brilliant range of pub classics that are all cooked very well with good quality ingredients and are a definite step up from your average pub restaurant. The selection of beers available offer a great mix of dependable staples, popular imports and fresh craft options. The staff are very friendly and helpful and serve the customers fast. The venue has a good amount of seating available and a large bar area too. The decor is warm and homely and kept nice and clean. I would recommend booking a table for peak times if you plan on dining as it can get very busy.
