Hello Everyone…
First off, we would like to thank everyone who has joined us since we reopened, we really appreciate you for taking the time to visit us and we have done our best to see to it that you are all well looked after.
We brought in the government “Eat out to Help out” scheme at the start of the month, and we have been a lot busier than normal. In the current climate, with things looking almost normal with the return of sports, pubs, and very soon to be schools, it’s easy to forget that places like ourselves are still working within restrictions, which slows down the initial service.
We are limited on the speed that we take orders for outside, as we can only have one person at the bar at a time to avoid congestion. Each person needs to place their order, leave their details, and have their discount applied to their order, which adds time however we must make sure this is done correctly. We appreciate and thank everyone for waiting
We are not a big restaurant, and our kitchen and store rooms can only hold so much stock, with the chefs working extremely hard to make sure everything is prepped and maintained safely. We would like to stress we can not physically stock any more than we have done for these government scheme days, and due to the extremely high volume of people arriving throughout the day, we do run out of things especially in the last hour of service. To help avoid disappointment, we will now be closing at 7pm instead of 8pm on the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday throughout August.
Breakfast will be served till 11:30am now instead of 11:45am on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday only, to allow the kitchen time to get ready for lunch and reducing the initial waiting time for lunch orders massively. Please note the breakfast orders must be in before 11:30am.
Remember we are just doing walk ins, so there will be a wait for a table over these days because as mentioned before, it’s a lot busier than normal and we do appreciate everyone waiting. We work with walk ins because we want to give a feeling of normality back to you all, if your passing through the marina and you want to call in for a pint or a coffee and cake, we want you to know you can do that at any time without risk of being turned away. We will not put a time limit on your table or give you a time you have to be out by, all we ask is you bear with us during the busy periods and once sat down we will all be working our hardest to make sure you are well looked after.
