Have visited multiple times over recent weeks and have been so impressed with the food every single time. Really friendly and welcoming service from all the staff, and an added bonus that they are dog friendly! A must visit if you're in the area.
This inn is only 3 miles or 5 minutes from the M6 north of Birmingham, so a great stopover place. The room was equipped with a cafetiere and real coffee, which is a rare treat. Good pub food and 4 cask ales - what's not to like?!
Went for Sunday lunch. There was two of us, but you only are given 90 minutes. We’d only had a main, and had been asked if we’d like dessert, so were waiting for the menu, when another waiter told us we only had 15 minutes left. Although we were then told they’d try and sort it so we could continue our lunch, it just made us feel rushed so decided to go elsewhere for dessert. 90 mins for a catch up and Sunday lunch is not enough time, and basically we spent a lot less than we would have. Would recommend the pub reviews this policy. Lunch was tasty but food went cold very quickly, unheated plates and gravy not very hot. On the other hand, staff were very nice and polite, and it’s got a nice atmosphere.
Stayed with my 2 sons, the rooms were clean, plenty of complimentary bathroom products. I stayed in a single room which had a double bed, clean and fresh bedding, room was small but very pleasant. My two sons stayed in a twin room on the front of the hotel, road noise was minimal, the room was very spacious. We had an afternoon bite to eat, this was very pleasant, beer well kept. The breakfast was very plentiful, cereal, toast, fruit, yogurt etc all help yourself. A good selection of cooked breakfasts available which was waitress served..not rush.. I would definitely stay here again..
A nice pleasant pub, only went for a meal and a drink but nicely and tastefully decorated and lovely environment. Staff are extremely courteous and highly professional. Only draw back are the prices... pint of basic cider, 5.49... compared to around upto the 4.00 I normally pay. And food, albeit lovely, is again, quite pricey.. would go again but not a regularly basis though...
