About us

The Carpenters Arms is a Grade II Listed Building in the heart of the Historic market town of Boston.

The Carpenters Arms (“The Carps” as it is affectionately known by locals) is a Grade II Listed Building in the heart of the Historic Market town of Boston. It first opened its doors as a Coaching Inn in 1812. The Carps has recently undergone a total transformation and 6 luxurious rooms have been created upstairs. The rooms are spacious and extremely comfortable and feature double beds, premium bedding, Smart Television, high-speed complimentary WIFI, Power Showers and so much more. It is located just off Market Square, surrounded by lovely alleyways filled with bespoke shops and the beautiful River Witham all looked over by the glorious tower of St Botolph's church known as 'Boston Stump'. The tower at 266 feet and 9 inches tall, has been nicknamed the 'Boston Stump' since its construction. It was long used as a landmark for sailors, and on a clear day can be seen from Norfolk. Our central location offers a wonderful opportunity to explore the history of this beautiful market town and to find out all about those who set sail for a new life in America, the Pilgrim Fathers, who went on to form a colony in Boston Massachusetts.

The Pub offers fantastic food, all locally sourced, from nearby farms, Willoughby Road Allotments for vegetables and Boston Port for the freshest fish and seafood.

Parking: Offsite Car parking is available within a 2 minute walk from the Carps. Limited Parking is available on the street.

Disabled Access: There is no disabled access due to it being an 18th Century listed building.

Decent local for a pint and good music. You can have a crack with the staff and punters whilst listening to some good tunes!

What a hidden Gem! Wonderful for music lovers, the accommodation is fab and honest everything that you need. The meals are astonishing, all lovingly prepared from scratch with high quality ingredients. There’s a good variety of meals to suit all tastes. We chatted to the Lorraine and Georgia for our preferences and nothing was too much trouble over the three day stay. There are quiet rooms to relax in and enjoy the fare. Excellent Staff, all are very welcoming, abundance of local characters, thank you to each of you for making our stay special and just being you. Real, unpretentious great quality, which is sadly lacking in designer pubs . Be prepared to park locally if you drive in, worth a visit 😁🤓👏
