Located in Great Ouseburn, a beautiful rural village nestled midway between the Yorkshire Dales and Moors, The Lime Tree Inn is a family-run country pub made of seriously good food in relaxed and friendly surroundings.
Husband and wife team, Rob and Heloisa Mitchell, wanted to create a modern day local that would build on a sense of tradition and community – a home from home for each and every one of their guests. Inspired by the rolling rural landscape around them, they have ensured that the menu at The Lime Tree Inn is locally sourced, the ales handpicked and the welcomes plentiful and natural.
And for those who want to spend a little more time at the Lime Tree, we have seven thoughtfully and individually designed rooms upstairs.

All I can say is absolutely Fantastic Great staff. Great environment food was absolutely beautiful. The muscles were so fresh. The beef just melted in your mouth, and the sticky toffee pudding was out in this world when in York. I will definitely be back thank you so much for the wonderful stay.
Had a wonderful two nights stay. The room was beautiful and full of lovely bespoke touches like home made cookies. Breakfast was perfect, the owner came out to speak to us when I asked about the homemade marmalade, such a nice touch.We also had a meal on the first night and once again this didn’t disappoint, food was outstanding and all the sauces, butters and bread were home made and so delicious I had to buy one to take home. We will definitely be back again.
A wonderful place to stay! Our room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was amazing! High quality and locally sourced. Great choice of quality beer and wine. Thank you team Lime Tree Inn. We will be back!
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal at The Lime Tree Inn. The setting was warm and welcoming, the service was excellent, and the food was lovely. The menu is a creative spin on traditional dishes. I'm new to the area and am delighted to have this place as our 'local'. We will definitely be back soon.
One of the best pub meals I have had. It is extremely rare to find this cuisine level in London pubs. Everything was excellent. It was a real pleasure to have a meal there. I hope I can come back again.
