Just a nice old British pub. More for locals but good for everyone to grab a pint
Liked it. Well appointed and charactful interior (sometimes back street locals can be scruffy) and welcoming attitude from the lady serving on the day (date of visit Thurs 10 August). Only real ale pub near to the National Space Centre. Could do with a second interesting guest ale hence 4 🌟 review. Had a fine Wye Valley HPA other real ale GK IPA so not of any interest to a discerning real ale drinker. Had a cob / roll which was decent too. Thank you x
Errr. Hockey teas were nice and the beer was good. Serious issues with the card payment machine.
A "pub" for me isn't about a few pennies cheaper or the choice of over 30 different beers or bitters. It's about a friendly atmosphere, banter, and a feel of local togetheness. The Tom Hoskins ticked all the important boxes for me and I will be going in again and again after my first time visiting with my uncle Bill (who's a regular) and other family members. Great pub, great staff.
Lovely staff and friendly people. I would recommend to everyone.
