Nice pub food ok 2nd time around as 1st time still cold in the middle of my dinner.3 floors & toilets located on 2nd and roof terrace on top
Comfy surroundings, like this Wetherspoons much better than the Albert and Lion along the front. Our meals were good unfortunately my husband had the 5 Bean Chilli meal but when it arrived it was not hot at all, we sent it back, the staff member took it away and it was sorted. Unfortunately by the time it arrived the second time I had finished my meal - not very happy that we came out for a meal together but had to eat separately!
Was quite disappointed with my pizza, it looked like it was rushed. It tasted ok. Our bowl of chips to share were Luke warm at best and tasted like they had been left out for a while. Prices seemed much higher than other spoons as well
Visited a couple of times whilst staying on Blackpool at the beginning of December. We went early evening on a Saturday and was surprised by how many people were in there. We just about managed to find a table, I think we were lucky as there was only 2 of us. We saw lots of people coming in and walking out due to not being able to sit. We ordered from the bar the first time which although was very busy, we were served relatively quick. We had a couple of the real ales on offer. Once sat we decided to order some food so I installed the Wetherspoons app. Would definitely recommend the app when it's busy as it was so quick and reliable. Drinks and food arrived within the time stated. We had burgers which were fine for price that we paid. We visited again the following day and again it was extremely busy. I think this is because the one around the corner was ridiculously busy to the point that you couldn't even get in. There is an upstairs in the Layton Rakes where there are more tables, seating and a bar. Toilets are also located upstairs and we're very clean.
Crowded,busy, and in need of more staff to keep on top of the dirty glasses and crockery.I love Wetherspoons, but the only good thing about this place was the cold beer and the quick service by the bar staff.
