Hogarth’s Bolton in a grand Victorian Gin Palace in the heart of the town centre.
We have impressive features all the way round our pub (if we do say so ourselves). Grand wooden bar and huge chandeliers. It has been quoted that we have been “extravagantly refurbished” which we do have to agree with. We specialise in and LOVE all things gin, we serve over 80 varieties! We are the perfect destination for all gin lovers. Our ‘Gin Bible’ is a must read and is crammed with quirky gin drinks such as our ‘Jammy Hendricks’. Be sure to ask for our ‘Perfect Serve’ or for a group of you, order one of our ‘Gin Sharing Platters’. We have a large open plan bar to enjoy standing around and plenty of seated areas. Our pub offers several snugs and booth areas for a more intimate drinking experience. We have many screens located all around our pub, allowing you to enjoy watching your favourite live sport. Though this does interrupt the Victorian Palace feel. Next to our grand pub we have our very own micro-brewery. Where we brew four different types of cask ales, which is served in our pub and our sister Hogarth sites, up and down the country. Our beer garden is just that, a paradise inner town garden. We have colourful bushes and plenty of outdoor seating. Our outside walls are even decorated rather grandly. For the non gin lovers (we don’t judge you, honest!) we serve a wider range of drinks including real ales.
Nice vibrant pub great choice of drinks good atmosphere been here a few times never had a bad night
A lovely little place that serves Heineken 0.0 on draught!
Went to see a band,Special Brew MCR and they were pretty good. The pub is a decent layout for bands, and the service was good. However, it was uncomfortably hot ,which meant we left at the break to go somewhere a little cooler. Other than that,a great music venue.
Friendly lively pub on the historic and attractive Churchgate. A grand Victorian gin palace named after William Hogarth. Has a fantastic range of different gins. Only one cask ale on, though it was a good one. Good for watching live sport. We saw an excellent band, Special Brew Mcr. which had people dancing and enjoying the live music. A great night out.
First visit to this place and really enjoyed it. Drinks were very cheap and there was live music. The guitarist/singer was very good. A special mention goes to the bouncers they were great at keeping my very drunk friend in check in a very professional manner without escalating the situation.
