I came across this pub, while working up that way about 3/4 years ago. My boss and i were constructing an oak frame building about a mile away or so.( i think it was " granary farm"). Now we came from medway , kent, so was far away from home. But luved it. Genuine oldschool boozer. Pukka bit of grub too. Didnt feel out of place being in the pub.( every pub has their locals, and some dont enjoy the outside company). We had to stay up there for a couple of days, and it was a shame that we couldnt have stayed there, as it was part hotel (gutted)🙄. So had to B N B in gayhurst farm. Would luv to visit again some day, for the old school pub atmos.💥💯👍
Lovely place, have been visiting here for 45 plus years, used to come with my parents, then I have brought my own children for Sunday lunches, also family and friends, its worth visiting
The pie was amazing. Steak & Stilton pie and homemade chips too. Friendly welcome. If you want spic n span like an AllBarOne, nope. If you want dirt cheap like a Wetherspoon's, nope. But it's better than both those. Proper pub with tasty pie.
A nice cosy freehouse in the heart of stoke goldington its got a friendly landlady called Rachel there is 2 bars the 1st room is a lounge with chairs and a fireplace the 2nd room is a public bar with pub games and got a smoking area the toilets are nice and clean i went today and brought a diet coke and cheese and onion crisps a lovely friendly atmosphere
Really cosy and friendly pub. Wonderful range of beers and ciders served to perfection. Won 'Pub of the Year' from MK and North Bucks CAMRA three times which must be a record. They are worthy winners; such a lovely place to visit.
