Located in the Georgian market town of Lymington, The Kings Head sits on the southern edge of the New Forest National Park and is close to the popular yachting waters of the Solent.
Situated at the top of the steep cobbled lane leading to The Olde Quay, this traditional English pub features Cask Marque approved Fullers London Pride, Ringwood Best Bitter, Timothy Taylors Landlord, Youngs and HSB.
Wines from around the world are also served by the glass, should the well-kept ales not to take your fancy.
Combining old-fashioned furnishings, an open log fire and a sunny courtyard garden, with generously portioned home-made food including daily specials and a consistently warm welcome, there is no surprise that this Grade II listed building is noted in the long-running publication The Good Pub Guide.

Second time here, two years since first visit and it's just as lovely. I wish I had a place like this where I live, I'd be a regular as a cuppa tea next to the fire here on a winters afternoon is magical!!
People queuing for this restaurant to open extremely busy food was excellent served piping hot and very quick considering they were busy. Service was good. Lovely homely feel inside. Well worth a visit.
A lovely pub that we stumbled upon in Lymington - we would highly recommend! We arrived at midday on a Sunday and we were seated immediately (we had not booked). However, I would recommend booking as the pub filled up quickly with bookings. We had the tomato soup, sausages and mash, and steak an ale pie. All the food was delicious and arrived promptly. The pub had a lovely atmosphere - very cosy and autumnal. The service we received was friendly and efficient. Overall, a lovely lunch and we will definitely return.
Our B&B owner suggested this traditional pub. We had the king prawn tempura and salt and pepper squids. They were very tasty. The atmosphere was nice and cosy. Especially the fireplace!!
Absolutely stunning pub in the heart of Lymington. Parts of it date back 300 years and the oak beams were taken from Napoleonic ships. Good selection of cask ales, including some from the local Ringwood brewery, and also well-kept Timothy Taylor Landlord. Clearly a locals’ favourite but the lovely staff were very welcoming to us holiday visitors and dogs. Visited late on a Friday evening and mid-Saturday afternoon. I adore pubs like this!
