My husband and I stayed for a night last year and were amazed at the quality of the food. Dinner was amazing. So this trip we didn’t need to think about where to stay. Again food is exemplary. Tried Japanese for the first time. Delicious. All made extra special when accompanied by the lovely Tring. Oh and the best breakfast. We will be back!
Lovely quaint hotel, rooms were clean and had a modern bathroom. All amenities were provided in the room, and staff were exceptionally friendly. The hotel is directly opposite a bus station, and also in very close proximity to the Spinnaker tower, historical dockyard and Gunwarf Quays (outlet shopping), all of which we visited and thoroughly enjoyed. The hotel has secure limited free parking almost directly outside the entrance. The restaurant within the hotel serves breakfast lunch and dinner, with a generous selection across the menu. In addition to the regular menu there is also a Japanese menu offering a wide range of high quality food.
Went here for a office Xmas lunch, we were expecting a standard 3 course lunch, how wrong we were. The restaurant is a hidden gem, being a foodie I was blown away by the quality. All three courses from the Christmas menu were off the scale flavor and lovely presentation, going back in the new year for sure, a great find, can't wait to sample the Japanese menu
It was the perfect location and room for our one night stay. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel entrance to take you to Southsea. The room we got has the harbour view on the top floor. It was really clean and cozy. The check in and out was smooth. The breakfast items were less than what I normally see in other hotels, but still it was enough. We especially loved the soft pain au chocolate. The hot chocolate mix provided in the room is a lovely addition with tea/coffee.
We arrived back in Portsmouth following a day trip to London prior to returning to the IOW and needed a meal. All other places had finished serving but we were warmly welcomed here and a had a delicious two course meal for £20! Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was freshly prepared. White linen table cloth! Beautifully clean. Would definitely recommend and return! Thank you!
