Arranged to meet a friend here for lunch ... although there is parking behind the pub, the entrance to it is very tight but we both found a spot by the green itself which gave us 2 hours. The initial welcome was warm, and we were shown to a table near an open fire after ordering some drinks. There was a good choice of starters, mains and desserts. We decided to go straight for main. I opted for the homemade steak in ale pie and mash with seasonal vegetables. My friend opted for the fish and chips. The food was of a very good standard and the portions generous. We had freshly made coffee to follow. If you are visiting Westerham, then I highly recommend a visit for lunch or dinner.
Been here before but not for a while. Ordered the prawn cocktail baguette. Very good portions yet a tad bland,... other than that good value @ £8. Would go back. Cute olde worldy pub
Really nice food. Between £10-20 for main course, and I really liked the chips in my fish & chips meal (bloody big fish too). The staff were very friendly. There was a log fire. There were dogs in the pub, which I always take as an indicator that it's a good place. Nice selection of beer too, albeit I had to partake of a non-alcoholic drink.
Lovely place, great gut busting burger, hot too. Lovely staff and interesting pub. Parking on the green, ringo charge.
Visiting from USA and stopped in for a "pub style" lunch. This place did not disappoint. I ordered the BLT which came on a large baguette with very thick cut bacon. So delicious! Fries were thick, large, square cut and cooked just right. Beer was cold and tasty. Really enjoyed this place. Staff was friendly too. Parking can be tough, but if you're familiar with the area I think there are some "hidden" off street parking places. Can't go wrong with the Grasshopper!
