A traditional pub offering a warm welcome, serving quality local produce cooked with a modern flair, children & dogs are welcome although the pups can only be in our bar areas.

This cosy pub was built around 1776 and may have served as a Turnpike House on the newly improved Rye to Dover road. It has a very large open fireplace as a main attraction in the bar area.

Food is currently available daily except Monday when Chris needs a lie in and to catch up on his paperwork so his wife Liz tells him, contact the pub for details.
