The Pilgrims Hotel is a charming historic building in the heart of Canterbury City Centre. Situated directly opposite the Marlowe Theatre, it’s an ideal place to stay overnight to catch a show or explore the attractions of Canterbury.
For breakfast, start the day off in our lovely light, airy dining room and chose from a generous full English breakfast, Continental breakfast or selection of choices cooked to order. And at the end of each day, unwind in our cosy bar with a hot tea or coffee or maybe something a little stronger.
The room was nice enough, staff were friendly, the location excellent but I can’t imagine what the owners were thinking when they let an electric guitar group practice in their breakfast room on a Wednesday evening. Listening to the Mission Impossible theme tune being repetitively blared from electric guitars for two hours was not exactly relaxing. Shame, because I travel to Canterbury pretty regularly for work and I might have considered coming back if it wasn’t for this absolute piss take.
More a pension or B&B than a hotel. Breakfast was not so good; one day there even was no bread, no cheese etc. Carpet in entree hall is very dirty; that's not a nice entree. Room noisy. Staff was normal friendly, not very hospitable. Daily fresh towels. There is a bar, it looks nice, but there are in the days we have been there no visiters at all.
Great location in central Canterbury. We had a cool double room that allowed us to share as a family of four. Continental style breakfast included and subsidised parking available as the nearby car park. All good.
Very satisfied with our stay at Pilgrims hotel. Big rooms with comfy beds, and a big bathroom. Helpfull staff, and situated in the center of the town. Varied options for breakfast, a small bar and delicate toilets.
Perfect location on the high street and 1-15 minutes walk from any of attractions, various dining experiences and shops. Our room faced the street and was as quiet as you'd like, all the usual - tea/coffee, biscuits, hair drier, shampoo and shower gel. Immaculately clean, and comfortable bed. Superb continental breakfast and lovely staff. Totally recommend.
