Roast heaven. This is the gold standard of Sunday Roasts locally. Tender new season kentish lamb, roast potatoes with crunch but fluffy inside and al dente vegetables (with cabbage lightly tossed in a little olive oil). Companions had beef and slow roast pork belly (fat beautifully rendered and perfect crackling - I pinched some), both praised similarly. Leave room for the desserts. Service professional and just right despite being very busy. Not a gourmet pub but a very high level of cooking plus a lovely and very historical setting.
Lovely olde world pub. Staff were so polite and friendly. Food was delicious, well presented and plentiful. I think starters and desserts were a little pricey but that goes for most restaurants today. Overall a lovely meal with good service and a nice atmosphere. Would definitely recommend. Pic is of banoffee dessert. ❤️
Never disappoints. Fantastic food again. Ribeye, Steak Pie, Chicken wrapped with blue cheese, treacle tart, sticky toffee pudding to name but a few. Highly recommended and great service
Fantastic unique venue, lots of character and welcoming staff. The Sunday roast was one of the best I have ever eaten!
Very nice 14th century pub located in the charming village of Westbere. The food is good, although of limited range. The service was good a friendly. This historic pub is interesting and quirky. There is plenty of parking out the back of the pub and the prices are reasonable and good value.
