About us

THE Public House

The Journey's End is a 13th century free house in the village of Ringmore, which is on the South Devon coast in an area known as the South Hams. Having four fires to enjoy in the winter months and with a main Bar area, nelsons bar, dining room, the story room, conservatory and large beer garden, there’s plenty of room for everyone in the family.

Well supported by local residents, it manages to combine being a friendly village ‘local’, as well as a destination food pub. Surrounded by thriving market towns, stunning scenery and walks both coastal and inland The Journeys End is a perfect place to stop and relax.

Incredible service, landlord's daughter was running the ship when we dined there, told us all about the rich history of the pub and made sure we were all looked after. As a vegan they made sure they had x2 options ready for me when we rang ahead and I enjoyed the best noodles I've ever had away from an authentic asian restaurant. Thanks for a great evening!

Lovely pub in the middle of nowewhere :)) we tried to get some food but was told it needs to be book weeks in advance 😵‍💫had a nice pint though. Located in lovely small vilage with an easy walk down to Ayrmer Cove (15min easy walk)where you can spent few hrs enjoying the beach.

We came here for lunch on a blustery wet day. Blown away by the food quality. (so much so that I didn't take any photos.) Reasonably priced + Generous + Delicious = Devoured. This place is an absolute winner and must try. Book ahead and compliments to the Chef and pub for service, one of my most satisfying meal in the UK this year.

Didn't have food, but it looked so, so good and the enticing aromas of cooking were wafting around. Very old features inside and a lovely beer garden area. You need to book this way in advance as it gets booked up 2 weeks in advance.

Loved finding this little gem during our S/W Coasting walk. They were fully booked for food so it's worth pre-ordering in advance, but the staff were very welcoming to us and our dog. Lovely garden area and great cider and ale available.
