Brilliant place for a drink the barstaff are friendly just some other customers can cause some trouble but it is mostly young people who start most of it. In the summer with the decking out front it is again brilliant the food they serve on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday is ok but can't really complain for the price.

If you're thinking of having any kind of function here, please don't... seriously, just don't. We attended a joint 18th and 21st family party while the room was okay the landlady's daughter ruined the night, starring people down, swearing, threatening people and screaming in people's faces while children were present even following young girls outside while they were on there own to intimidate them. The way she spoke to the staff behind the bar was terrible in itself but customers, it's all my mum owns the pub, so I'm going throw my weight around, powers have gone to your head. You seriously have got an attitude problem and a massive chip on your shoulder. There is a way to ask for IDs and "scanning the room" and yours wasn't it. You definitely would benefit from some courses in customer services!! I have never been somewhere so unprofessional in my life slagging off the food that was brought in by caterers. I'm sure you will have something to say about this review but honestly if it makes someone rethink about booking then that's all I'm hoping for. I'd hate for someone else's night be ruined like you did ours! Edit** I completely agree to not serving underage children! Still doesn't excuse your daughters appalling behaviour. I'm 10 years older than her and she was behaving like I couldn't drink. As a landlady when you were aproched outside in a calm mammer instead of sucking on your vape you should of actually tried to rectify the situation instead of walking in without saying a word and doing nothing. Like I said If it makes someone else reconsider booking here then it's worth leaving a review. if you had bothered to look else where you would of seen the dirty coke heads leaving the toilets!
If i could put zero stars i would. Terrible service from the bar staff so rude and unwelcoming and immature from a certain staff member who is the daughter of the owner, following people outside the pub to intimidate and insult multiple customers, which then lead to many people leaving a family birthday early to avoid retaliation ! would not recommend for any gatherings!
Avoid at all costs, I wouldn't recommend this pub to anyone!! I Attended a family party and I've honestly never experienced anything like it, the landlords daughter was obviously having a bad day and decided to be rude and hostile to the guests. I'm so upset that one person can influence an atmosphere so much so that the majority of people decided to leave before 9.30, to avoid retaliating to her attitude. She was asked by the host if everything was OK, so that they could find out what the problem was and used the excuse she was scanning the room for under age drinking. Staring people down, Slamming doors in faces, following people, swearing and for no reason refusing to serve by telling them to f off, isn't how I've ever known a bar staff member to scan a room... There was no underage drinking, no arguments or problems with the party, so I really don't understand what her problem was?! She made everyone feel so uncomfortable. She seriously ruined the night, I've seen reviews about fighting at the pub and to be honest I'm not surprised if this is how guests are treated.
