A country pub not far from the Colby steam train station. The perfect place for lunch then a walk through Colby Glen…
Refurbished, modernised and taste fully redecorated pub in the heart of the village. Popular village local with two separate main rooms and games room at the rear. Comfortable village pub where quiz nights are a regular feature during the week. Car parking available over the road function room available. The wholesome food attracts local diners and those from further a field. The Colby was closed early 2016 due to flooding in December 2015,but fully reopened with an extensive and tasteful refurbishment in March 2016.A photograph recording the flood drama adorns the walls of the central bar area.
Excellent scallop starter, lovely roast dinner, finished with profiteroles dessert. Friendly and attentive staff. Easy parking to rear of building
New owners have added Indian elements to the menu, also vastly improved the British side of the menu. Delicious meal!
Over priced food, poor service and payment machines that don't work. Took a call that our bill payment hadn't gone thru, unable take payment over the phone so we had to drive back. Chaos.
We visited the Colby Glen twice during this years TT practice week - very nice staff, cool location and superb food. The best chicken burger I have ever had (southern fried chicken burger!) Thanks for the great time!
Very nice staff . Just getting to know the ropes of a new pub .My only criticism is and it's not really a criticism but they are trying too hard. Just relax and it will work .

Castletown, Isle of Man, IM9
Quaint, cosy and full of charm from a bygone era. ‘The Glue Pot’ as it is far better known sits right on the harbour in Castletown and is literally a stone’s throw from Castle Rushen.

A registered historic building dating back to 1833. Steeped in history, some of it a little dark…
