I stayed here 3-8 December as was away from Bournemouth doing rail replacement sailsbury to Yeovil Junction. I can't mark food as brought my own. The room was big nice and clean and not too hot which for me is good. Staff in the pub we're great abit of noise but hey it's a pub. Would come back again.
Maybe I bit more that I wanted to pay for a room above a pub with a shared bathroom ($60 per night). You can definitely hear the music from the pub below but it does usually shut down around 11pm the latest thankfully. My allergies were quite active too in the room, something in the carpet maybe? All the bartenders were quite friendly and helpful. About a 20 minute walk from the train station and 10 minutes to the center of town and the cathedral. There is a bus stop just down the street too that takes you to Stonehenge.
Booked a room for last Friday. It was not made clear at all that the bathroom is shared between all the hotel, but I thought, "well I'm here now, might as well make the best of it". The toilet facilities were seriously gross. The shower wasn't working on my floor. I was told there was a sink in my room so when I found out it was a shared shower space I was happy to have the sink so I could wash up in there instead. But in my room the sink had been ripped off the wall. I left two hours after I checked in because the general cleanliness of the room was not good, alongside the missing sink and nastiness of the toilets. Not worth the money at all. If the owners see this I would like for them to get in touch with me to discuss a refund. But judging by the other reviews here, they probably won't.
Had the warmest welcome to Salisbury here. We checked in (horribly late) and had a few drinks at the bar. We were welcomed to a lovely room by a wonderful worker who also served us drinks and gave us great recommendations for the rest of our stay. Such a delight to stay here, thank you! ❤️
I am staying here at the minute. I had to change rooms as there was blood on the pillow, floor was covered in dirt not sure when the floor had last been hovered, if ever. Both mirrors were filthy and cups dirty.The bathroom is so dirty I can’t even use it or have a shower in it. There was wet bath towels on the floor and no hand towels (I told the bar staff but they still didn’t provide). The shower screen is so opaque it doesn’t look like it has ever been cleaned. When I went to go to sleep in my new room I noticed pillows on the underside full of dirt marks again. Really disappointing, even basic accommodation show have a certain level of cleanliness.
