Our company just had a fantastic team day at Hotel Du Vin Winchester. Everyone was so friendly, the Lombard room we had for the day was beautiful and all the food and snacks really delicious. Thank you to all the team.

We had a fab Christmas lunch here on Christmas Eve for 13 family members. Emma in events was really helpful in helping plan the day and everything went smoothly. A big thanks to all the staff for helping make a memorable day. Not only was the food was great but everything was so well organised from the reserved parking to all the pre-ordered drinks being ready for us on a side table. Amelia who mainly took care of us was friendly, charming and helpful and I must mention kitchen staff for delivering such tasty and lovely hot food - the veggies were particularly delicious and a real hit. Our family, spanning multiple generations, thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon, and even our 93-year-old father was beaming with pride and happiness at how smoothly everything went. In fact, it was so good we're thinking of making it an annual tradition!

We only visited the bistro bar for afternoon tea. It was very nice, but failed to truly amaze me. The staff were very attentive, however some advertised menu items did not arrive, forcing us to enquire about the missing items. The decor looked a little tired, but the bistro was still full of character and the afternoon tea was more plentiful than most could consume. Parking was a little crowded and cramped, but the car survived without 'car park scuffs'. While the afternoon tea at Hotel Du Vin, Winchester, was very pleasant, I felt the afternoon tea at the Four Seasons, Fleet, was a far more exceptional experience in comparison.

Our room was clean, had nice furnishings, comfy bed but was disappointingly small and smelled a bit damp. Car parking was well organised and bistro food good. The location is excellent and property cosy, but it can feel quite cramped. The lobby especially is small with nowhere to sit. Definitely overpriced - no robes or slippers, and no lotion in bathroom - which is fine if it wasn’t £350-400 a night at the weekend. Service was very disappointing, as if it was a problem we were there. We suggest you improve your front of house service. We would not recommend in the meantime.

We had 4 afternoon teas, 1 was veggie and 1 was gluten free. They sounded and looked good. The overall feedback is that it was very expensive for very basic, dry sandwiches and not tasty cakes. The absolute best thing without a doubt were the scones and the tea. The GF scones were inedible (unable to cut them) and the sandwiches were dry with thoughtless fillings. The vegetarian option was not much better and not very creative. There were too many gelatin based cakes which meant the vegetarian option had the same as the gluten free. This is not good value for money and wouldn't recommend it. The service was good and friendly, the setting was nice and so it was a shame the afternoon tea was not in congruence with the venue.
