Had a wonderful stay in Dec after going to a gig. Great vibe. Amazing room in a fantastic converted industrial building. Delicious meals. Couldn’t fault it. We’ll be back.

Booked and paid last minute on the day, great location. Checked in to a deluxe balcony room? Average room for a deluxe room which can only mean a nice view as room basic and no bath as stated on website which was a disappointment but acceptable as last minute booking. Drinks in the bar were lovely, expensive and very slow with stale pretzels but again acceptable as great location. After returning around 9.30pm no food available not even fries, which were ordered with the bar but never arrived when we returned to the bar for a nightcap. On returning to the room at 10pm we open the mini bar fridge to find it completely empty, no water or even milk ? This standard of room that advertises a mini bar in the room we were disappointed but were assured a call to reception would sort this out? Sadly not as we booked on the day and paid for the room in advance along with all of our drinks we were not entitled to even water in the room? This was a first! But if we returned to reception to pay for it we could have that basic request of water! We declined after such poor hospitality ! In the rain we walked to the local co op to purchase water and some crisps we had asked for? As obviously we could not be trusted to pay for these on departure? One of the worst so called hospitality experience i have ever encounter and i would advise anyone looking for just a little bit of quality service to avoid this group, which used to be a market leader in quality and standards but now competes with travel lodge. And that’s based on service as travel lodge offers far better value for money.

My partner and I stayed one night at Hotel du Vin Bristol. This was booked fairly last-minute. Reception check-in was seamless and friendly. All the room names were named after famous wine brands rather than numbered. Keys were physical and with a huge leather tag rather than electronic card keys, which was a bit inconvenient to lug around. When we reached the room, it was pleasant/large enough (king size double bed) with a huge bath and shower, but certain aspects were odd for a 4-star hotel, e.g. only one chair in the room, and no plug socket on one side of the bed. Furthermore, sockets for lamps could not be used for any other electrical device (said sockets had rounded rather than square pins). We were told there was room service for the restaurant’s food at the same menu price with no extra charge, but we did not end up using it in the end. All of this was satisfactory for a one-night stay but might have been grating had we stayed longer.

Just got back from the most luxurious and relaxing stay I think myself and my husband have ever had. The suite we booked had double baths and was extremely romantic. All of the hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff were all friendly and very helpful. The food was amazingly presented, tasted delicious and was very affordable. We will definitely be back again!

Lovely well appointed hotel right in the middle of Bristol but just set back in a rather nice quaint area. The welcome was wonderful, friendly efficient staff nothing was too much trouble. The hotel manages to feel more like a home than a hotel and make you part of their family.
