About us

Did you know that around 100 years ago Foots Cray, Sidcup and Bexley was covered in hop fields? Present in the locality were a number of simple buildings which were used by hop pickers during the harvest. These were known as ‘Hopper’s Huts’ hence our name.

Rebecca & Simon look forward to welcoming you to The Hopper’s Hut.

One of a growing band of Micropubs in South East London that are revolutionising the way we drink and socialise!

With a friendly crowd guaranteed our micropub sells real ales poured straight from the cask, craft beers on keg, bottles and cans from the UK and abroad as well as traditional ciders & perry.

Red, White, Rose Wines and Prosecco is also availble along with a range of Fentiman’s soft drinks. We also stock a staggering range of 70+ spirits.

A lovely pub with a really nice and friendly atmosphere. The landlady and staff are absolutely wonderful. I had a really nice time here whilst performing my show. Would definitely recommend to people :)

Lovely little micro pub on the High Street. Great selection of beers, wines and spirits and always have a friendly smile and welcoming atmosphere. Get along to their fabulous theme nights if you can, and the quiz is one of my personal favourites.

Lovely little micropub. Staff are friendly and there is always a good choice of beers on tap. I'd recommend looking in the fridge too if you want to branch out and be a bit more adventurous! Always check the board to see upcoming events at the pub too. I know people who have been converted to craft beer just from this pubs excellent line up and unpretentious approach! My favourite place to drink in Sidcup.

Lovely little micro with a good range of taps to cover all tastes and types of craft. Proper sourdough hand stretched pizzas with a perfectly cooked crunchy base. Best little spot in Sidcup. Definitely a new local drinking spot I'll be diving into regularly from now on.

I was staying local for a family celebration and decided to pay this bar a visit. Fantastic staff member, who explained the qualities of his stock and set up a table and chairs outside, for me to people watch. On my 2nd order, I was helped by a really friendly group one of whom carried my drink to my table. I'm here for three more days...I know exactly where I'll be drinking. Wonderful little bar and highly recommended. UPDATE: I returned today for another visit and met with Simon, (possibly the owner/manager). Again I was given great information about the drinks available. Understand that this isn't a pub in the truest sense of the word and prices reflect that...£7.00 for a pint would normally see me leave, but for the quality, taste, and enjoyment it was money well spent. Obviously you can buy much cheaper choices and that's exactly how it should be. A true little gem.
