We are South London's new dining experience, located in Forest Hill. Let's engage!
William Charles Sage is listed in the 1896 roll of pubs and hostelries as the publican of the St. Germain's Hotel, St. Germain's Road Brockley, Forest Hill, which is now home of the newly refurbished Honor Oak, “my local pub”, it most certainly has some history. When the road changed its name to “St. Germans Road” the pub name changed to the “St. Germans” and in 2007 the pub was finally given its current name of “The Honor Oak”.
We hope that with our blend of a traditional warm welcome, combined with our contemporary British food menu and some truly unique cask and craft beers, that the new Honor Oak will soon become a firm favorite within the local communities of Honor Oak, Forest Hill and Brockley.
Open every day from 10am, whether you are stopping by for a quick catch up with friends over coffee, a tasty homemade bar snack or a more substantial meal in the restaurant, the all new Honor Oak has something for everyone
Having been completely refurbished in 2014, the all new Honor Oak features an open plan dining room, designer bar area, function room, private dining rooms, al fresco dining terrace, beer garden and even a toddler's play area.
We are now open every day from 10am until late. We look forward to seeing down at the “Oak” soon!.

We go for the Open Mic Night most weeks (now on a thursday) and never fail to feel welcome, well fed and well entertained. Anyone is free to sign up to sing, play or recount a joke or two and it is one of the few places where it just feels non- pressured, fun to be there and just be part of it all. The staff are lovely and the food is very moorish. The pub has a great family vibe even on nights without the entertainment.
Excellent service, atmosphere and drinks selection. Food available too. Well worth a visit, I shall certainly be returning there soon.
We were lucky enough to reserve and visit on a Sunday before the pub started getting busy. Bots our Sunday roasts (one beef, one chicken) were magnificent and tge portions, very generous. We've been keen on getting in for a roast for some time now and I can tell you that the walk to and fro Catford was well woeth it! Can't recommend it enough!
Went for bottomless brunch. No food included and only includes prosecco or prosecco + fruit juice. Ordered 2 cocktails and a bottle of prosecco and was told couldn't have both until we had drunk our cocktails. Rather regimented and so we left £50 lighter.
Lovely deco and customer service. Had the chicken roast and was delicious. Only issue would be the fruit flies we're everywhere not sure about that one... But overall good time and good vibes a pleasant stop during the day
