Had a lovely catch-up with an amazing friend. It was a little cold when we first got there as it was only 11.50am and there was no-one in. However, we sat by the fire and it was super cosy. We had their 3 course Xmas menu, which was delicious. The service was excellent, very pleased with my visit!
I booked this when travelling with my mum to a family funeral. The wake was being held in this place, however this was my second choice for somewhere to stay. My first choice sold out within ½ hour of me finding it online. It's more of a motel than hotel, as the rooms are across the carpark. I needed an accessible shower as I'm disabled, but having booked the room on line and then requested this, I received a phone call telling me the accessible room was a family room, and was £10 more. I initially agreed to pay this, then after realising I was being penalised for being disabled, I contacted them to say, just pop us in the room I'd initially booked and I wouldn't shower. A message came back saying I could have family room for initial price. Check in was easy, once I found reception. The resturant serves food until 9pm.
So the rooms are functional and the bed is comfy, it's just a little dated and could do with modernising especially in the bathroom. Breakfast wasn't to bad, however, evening meal was hot or miss.
I literally can’t describe how great this place is. Came here for lunch and was not disappointed in the slightest. The staff are friendly and really helpful, the food is amazing (really tasty and well presented), and the place is well tidy and neat. We will definitely be coming back here.
Lovely stay. Staff exceptional. Everyone without exception was friendly and helpful. Special shout out to ( I think) Wayne?? Lovely red haired waiter/ bar staff. The nicest young man, friendly, approachable and impeccable good manners. Honest Lawyer management...take note!!!! From arrival to departure, we were so well looked after. As a retired hotel manager, I rarely review so highly. Only downside was a 4 poster room I booked for my family. Very disappointing. Curtains hanging off...need attention, and decor very dated. I would have raised at the time but family didn't want me to. The motel room I stayed in was fine...small, but everything I needed...perhaps new pillows??? All in all, I would be happy to return.
