A stunning traditional british pub restored back to its former glory, bringing the taste of tradition alive once more.

The Herdsman dates back to the 1800s, where it was the meeting point of farmers far and wide, where cattle were auctioned and sold to neighbouring farms and thoughout the Yorkshire counties. The area was famed for its prized cattle, and today some of the best beef still comes from the fields of the Cowtons.

And again, we aim to provide the best Yorkshire welcome, traditional fayre, local produce, and the best cask ales. The Herdsman, North Cowton re-begins its journey into greatness, becoming an iconic british pub once more... history in the making!
