Atmosphere given 5 stars although our group of four were the only ones in as we couldn't have been more welcomed, and it's a hard time in the pub business. Food was excellent, and we'll certainly be returning soon.

This is a lovely old pub with a welcoming restaurant and food to match. The owners are constantly in attendance make sure their exacting standards are met. They both make you feel at home and relaxed we will return regularly even though we live more than 200 miles away, would definitely recommend.

A really lovely village pub, lots of beautiful traditional style, yet modern dining areas, an outdoor space and a kids play area. The food was high end pub grub, with a really good range of foods for all tastes, including vegetarian options and kids meals. Portions were really good sizes and the puddings were huge! Staff were super friendly and fit us in even though they were really busy. Definitely recommend a visit.

We decided to book here as we noticed our destination, Hartland, was a relatively small area, with a relatively large audience. We walked in and asked to book, we were met with a smile; a warm welcome, and proceeded to book our meal for the following evening. The menu is not a vast one, but the choices are perfect. Homely food, real hearty grub! The service was quick and pleasant, the waitress was very jovial and made us feel welcome. The food was great, my steak was exceptional. A lovely place in a very quiet, yet also busy little village in north Devon.

We had a delicious Sunday lunch at the Hart Inn in the pretty village of Hartland. The owners and staff were friendly and welcoming. There was a good choice of real ales and ciders. We are real ale drinkers. The food was amazing. We had the Ruby red 8 hour slow cooked brisket which came with a good selection of vegetables. This is the best Sunday roast I've eaten out. I had banana split for dessert which I hadn't had in years. Yummy! We have ready booked a table again for later in the week. I highly recommend this beautiful Inn.
