Hard Rock Cafe Edinburgh is located on George Street, just a short distance from the world famous Edinburgh Castle.
We invite you to drink, dine, and enjoy yourself in a contemporary, laid back atmosphere. Hard Rock Cafe Edinburgh is a vibrant and fun place to hang out. We have great pieces of Memorabilia to check out on your visit, including Ringo Starr's leather jacket and The Red Hot Chili Peppers guitar.
Took my teenage child as a post exam treat and had asked the restaurant to congratulate them on their marks. We were warmly greeted and the entrance person made a point of saying something. How kind. 😊 Loved the memorabilia and the atmosphere was lively and enjoyable. We had buffalo wings and a burger with soft drinks. Service was good as was food.
We had a lovely time at Hard Rock, the only very vague negative is that it took a while to order a drink and some food but that was only a negative as we were hungry! They managed to fit us in an hour early than our booked table. Amazing seeing as this was just a few days before Xmas and they were busy. All the staff were lovely, up for a natter and a giggle. The food was exceptional actually. We ate off the festive menu, three courses for £32. We couldn't finish everything as they were good portions. My only advice would be to try and space out the Happy Birthdays, we had three in quick succession just in our area which was a bit disruptive. My partner was, however, very thankful they didn't remember it was his birthday and they didn't make everyone sing to him. All in all Hard Rock was the highlight of our Christmas trip to Edinburgh. Words of advice - please bottle and sell the bbq bourbon sauce we had with the Onion rings..... I'd have paid good money for that on the way out!!!! Thanks Hard Rock team.
Tasty food, nice staff, amazing memorabilia and great music! 1 star removed though because you add a service charge, totally unacceptable in the UK. I’m aware it goes to staff but people should be left to tip however they want instead of adding it without asking. I’m also aware you can ask to have it removed but you know full well 9/10 people won’t do that.
Enjoyable visit - the quality and presentation of the food and the service couldn't be bettered and the atmosphere was typical of a Hard Rock Cafe , it was good! HOWEVER , be aware they add a service charge onto the bill which makes it more expensive then expected, a USA phenomenon ! This is okay if it all goes to the waiters and waitresses who were doing a terrific job but not so good if it benefits the management and shareholders!
Top notch Hard Rock Cafe location that is a bit marred by its tiny footprint. It’s tiny, chaotic, loud and classic. Service is great and you can tell that is a top priority - but they struggled to manage the amount of people that they cycle through here. Food was top notch (for Hard Rock Cafe) as always. I love that they have a local legendary burger still at this location - those are always a must try. The shop is also tiny and when it is busy will be difficult to find what you are looking for.
