Very clean and very tidy. Warm welcome. Great view of the bay I'm sure when the mist clears. There is no gym, but you don't need it as there is a nice long steep hill down to the town centre and back.

Just returned from 4night stay. The room we chose was basic but more than adequate. John and Elleke were absolutely charming and did everything they possibly could to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Continental breakfast was superb and the views from bar, dining room and outside decking were incredible. Highly recommended.

Location is stunning, amazing views and slightly away from the busy harbour. John and Elleka were lovely hosts and made us feel welcome. Luckily we did not need to use our room much as room 15 is damp. It needs a humidifier as we would wake up to cold and damp clothing and sheets. We were advised that it got chilly in the room and to use the heater, which helped slightly. But this isn't expected for August. Further, the breakfast is poor in comparison to other places. Having to make your own eggs at the prices they are charging is a bit of a let down. A bit of a shame as it could be excellent

We have just returned from 3 nights at The Mevagissey Bay hotel. We enjoyed our stay very much and John and Elleka were perfect hosts and made us feel very welcome and offered us advice on places to walk and things to do. The hotel has amazing views over the sea and is decorated in lovely coastal colour very calming. The decking outside was lovely to sit and admire the views as well as the bar area and the breakfast area. Breakfast was continental style, with lots of choice Inc boiled eggs, with pancakes and waffles made to order, the most delicious porridge and the overnight oats I've ever tasted. We decided to go for a basic room with a garden view for £100 a night, the bed was very comfortable and room was clean, the bathroom could do with an update not seen a peach bathroom suite in a while and the shower was very small but for the price we paid we were more than happy with it. Plenty of tea and coffee and even had shortbread in the room as well as fresh water. It was a nice touch from Elleke to give us a bottle of water and imperial mints for the journey home. Car park in front of the hotel, we didn't have a problem with parking. And location of the hotel is just a 7 or 8 minute walk down the hill into the harbour. We did enjoy 1 drink at the bar in the hotel, we might have stayed for drinks on other occasions but the bar is not always maned and you have to press a bell which we didn't really like to do, but can understand they cannot man the bar from 4pm till 9pm if there is nobody around. Thanks for a lovely stay

I wish I could give this more than 5 stars. We had an extremely lovely one night stay whilst walking the coast path (which it's directly on). We didn't pay for a sea view room but the room we had was extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean and had everything you'd want - including shortbread! The owners were extremely warm and friendly, nice to talk to and very helpful. The shower was amazing. The view from the bar and the breakfast room was really amazing. Whilst there wasn't a cooked breakfast when we visited the buffet had tons of great stuff and we were still able to get hot pastries and porridge from the kitchen. It was less than a ten minute walk down to the harbour front where there are loads of places to eat. I slept very well I'm the very comfortable bed. Amazing value for money. Will definitely stay again.
