Don’t know what I expected from a beefeater but it was great. Food was fantastic for a table of 16 and all came together and was all hot. All tasted fantastic. Dave our waiter was brilliant and couldn’t have been better if he tried. Great balance of politeness and still had a laugh with him. Great food, great place and great customer service.
Most of my reviews are 4-5 stars I would give this establishment zero stars if it were an option. We visited for lunch on a weekday, a few days before Christmas. My partner ordered the ribs which were £19 and the quality was atrocious. She couldn't stomach them. They had a strong taste and smell of rotten meat. My partner eats ribs anywhere, and never before came across ribs she couldn't eat. Staff said they tried them after we complained and said that's how they normally taste. They offered us a free dessert, but we declined as we didn't want any more of their bad food that already made my partner feel physically ill. Appropriate compensation would have been to offer (at least a partial) refund of the dish price. Moving on to the rest of the food: *Breaded mushrooms were weird, hard on the outside, and very watery inside. *Corn on the cob was soggy with no bite to it at all. *Beef burger was passable but not tidy or particularly tasty, definitely not great value for money. *Chips were OK. Overall, I'd say steer clear of this pub for food. You're better off eating at MacDonalds. There's also a much superior pub just a block up the road.
I visited the Balmoral Beefeater and, despite it not being too busy, the service was disappointingly slow. The food from the lunch menu arrived cold, but the taste was enjoyable once we finally received it. Improvements in service efficiency would enhance the overall dining experience.
Came for dinner and breakfast while staying at Premier Inn. It wasn't our intention to eat dinner here, but due to arriving late we took the easiest option and I'm so glad we did! The staff were friendly and attentive and the service was great. The food way exceeded my expectations. The steak was perfectly cooked (and I'm very fussy) the ribs and chicken were so flavoursome and tender. Despite the very cold weather and early start the same staff were in attendance the next morning, with a smile and again, happy to help. There was a very varied selection for breakfast. The cooked breakfast tasty and hot. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to everyone I know!
We arrived here on our travels home and was pleased to find they had several seats available, our drinks order was taken quickly but food ordering took much longer and we had to grab the attention of the waitress. Food was tasty and the wait wasn't too long, the place quickly filled up and unfortunately we were greeted with stress from one member of the public who made my wife feel uncomfortable.
