We haven't been here for a few years now, probably for three or four years. We went over on a Friday evening, the food was lovely, the beer was really good and the service was lovely. My wife asked for the gamon and asked if they could not put any peas on, to which the reply was did she want anything else instead of them, this ended up being a really nice salad, its a simple thing, they didn't have to do it, but was a lovely gesture and my wife loved her gamon, eggs, chips and salad.
We are staying in Beaulieu and visited the Royal Oak for dinner on our last night. I had the pepperoni pizza 🍕 and my partner had the steak & ale pie 🥧, both were delicious. A proper pub, with a good choice of beers, and a friendly atmosphere. Recommended.
My partner and I got a bit lost, popped in for something to eat, and were really happy with our meals. We ordered a lamb roast dinner and the steak and ale pie. Everything was fresh, the pie was homemade and it was all nice and hot and presented well. The staff were nice and friendly and the venue was clean. We would recommend this venue to others, and we will definitely be visiting again in the future.
Lovely pub, food, service and staff were all very good. Will return again soon, thank you
We visited this pub with family. The staff were friendly and helpful and the service was decent but the food took some time to come out. They offer a good range of beers on tap. The pub can get busy as it's in a prime location so make sure you book if you really want a table. There are plenty of tables outside for extra space. The menu was a bit strange as it was a massive wooden thing, I'd ditch these in favour of a more simple one. The food was excellent value for money. I had a chicken, ham and leek pie. It was really tasty, my partner had the dirty burger which was superb. The pizza my mum had was so big she took some of it home as it was so tasty. Children's menu was good and my daughter loved the mac and cheese. Overall these were great portions and decent prices. I'd say this is a good pub and good value for money. We were so full we couldn't even contemplate the desert menu. Well worth the visit.
