Today I brought my mum amongst other family members to celebrate my mums birthday for lunch. We arrived as soon as they opened - early birds I know haha but my toddler was hungry.. we had a kind and welcoming greeting at the front and was happy to be seated somewhere suitable for my child and also with enough room for my grandma. There was 7 dishes to be made in total by 2 chefs on - Chris & Connor. All I can say is wow! The service was incredible and the quality of the food was amazing. Everything came out without an extreme long wait, the food was piping hot and our dishes were presented beautifully- we devoured into our meals before taking pictures 😂 since The Halfway House has been taken over I have noticed a great change in the pub / restaurant after just one lunch time visit. We will certainly be back again :)

I'm absolutely not normally one to leave negative reviews for pubs / restaurants as they have a tough enough time as it is, but I'm really left somewhat disheartened by today's experience. Service was slow and inattentive, which given it's the week before Christmas, and despite only having a small handful of tables to serve was very disappointing. We paid £14+ for the steak and ale pie with chips (Weirdly no option for mash?) that turned out to be a slice of pie that looked like it had been sat under the lamps all afternoon. Had it not been for the supplementary gravy boat to moisten the filling I'd otherwise have sent it back to the kitchen. I'm really struggling to understand how both the kitchen and service have got things so wrong today; perhaps it was just a bad day at the office? The building is clean and well kept (a few more Xmas decorations wouldn't go amiss) so it clearly has massive potential, but unfortunately today's experience fell well short of the Sunday dinner we were hoping for. 😔 I won't say that I'll never go back as I understand that places have off days, but at the same time it's also unlikely we'll be back anytime soon with so many other pubs to try in the area.

A large group of 15 from the Triumph 2000 Register thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas meal at the newly refurbished Halfway House. The food was first class, with ample portions, and the staff were very friendly and efficient. The room was warm and inviting, and perfect for an average sized group. All of those that came to the meal were extremely pleased with the food, its presentation, quality, the good selection of beers and drinks available, and the welcoming surroundings in the pub! Well done Halfway House!!

We had been to the lake District and fancied some Sunday dinner we came off at Chorley and followed the road until we came across the Halfway house A nice warm welcome when we entered the pub. Great range of beers and wines. We seated ourselves in the bar area and we had the waitress come take the order for food Sunday dinner was only about twenty minutes and when it came it was to die for. We both had the same the meat was fresh and cooked to perfection. Veg and potatoes were lovely mash and Yorkshire pudding done just right food was great temp and we had gravy and requested more which was greater with not a problem . A lovely place to call into and we would definitely come back and tell our friends it's well worth the visit.

First time been here 13th March 2023, which I didn't know it had new management and new menu. The menu only had selection of alcoholic drinks on one side and on the other side was the food menu. I didn't understand how the menu works at 1st so the lady explained. We ordered drinks and it took ages to be served to our table. They even got the order wrong. There were 4 of us and we ordered 3 for £12.95 from the menu we were given. We ordered 4 calamari dishes. 4 lemon and garlic chicken dishes, 2 pulled pork dishes and 2 spicy chicken dishes. After ordering around 15 minutes later a table of 2 people sat nearby. They ordered their drinks and food. They got their food before us as we waited almost an hour for the food to come out. I did mention this to the lady who took us to the table and I said I waited too long for our food and they got their food before us. She explained that they only ordered 3 dishes to share between them. Then she said that the printer wasn't working at the time when we ordered so the kitchen hadn't got our order. But if the kitchen haven't got our order, how come the food came out after I enquired about my order within 5 minutes? While waiting for our food, I noticed few of the waitresses were near the kitchen doors talking and one was playing with her hair. They wasn't even focusing on customers. The food wasn't that great, however the following dishes I ordered, calamari was nice. The lemon and garlic chicken was very salty and the spicy chicken was also salty. The service was terrible and slow. They did knock off some money from the food bill. This was a Monday evening 6pm. Can you imagine if this was a weekend? They would definitely struggle to keep up and keep customers happy.. I was brought up in and around catering business, I have level 3 in hospitality and catering and also a foodie, I do know how food and customer service are very important to having a catering business... My ratings for Tutto Halfway House Food 1/10 Service 0/10 Value for money 1/10 Deco 8/10
